Fresh goat cheese salad & 2024 Exhib Cap d’Agde Rosé
Sometimes, it doesn’t have to be complicated.
A fresh salad, warm goat cheese and a good glass of rosé can create the perfect evening. For this pairing, I choose our 2024 Exhib Cap d’Agde Rosé 0.75L — fresh, fruity and beautifully balanced.
The gentle acidity of the rosé cuts through the creaminess of the cheese, while the red fruit notes pair wonderfully with honey and walnuts.
🥗 what do you need? (serves 2)
- 2 small goat cheese rolls
- mixed salad leaves (arugula or lamb’s lettuce work perfectly)
- a handful of walnuts
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
- optional: cherry tomatoes or apple slices
👨🍳 how to prepare
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Place the goat cheese in a small baking dish and drizzle with honey.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until soft and lightly golden.
- Meanwhile, toss the salad with olive oil, salt and pepper.
- Place the warm goat cheese on top of the salad.
- Finish with walnuts and, if desired, a little extra honey.
Serve the rosé well chilled (8–10°C / 46–50°F) and enjoy.
🍷 why this pairing works
The rosé from Cap d’Agde is fresh and lively, with notes of red fruit and citrus.
Its crisp character keeps the dish light, while the fruitiness beautifully complements the honey.
A simple combination — but one that always works. 🍷
